Shamor tells us to guard what is precious. We protect the relationships that sustain and encourage us, the values that guide us, and the sacred spaces where we are invited to gather. We create communities in which people feel seen, cared for, and safe enough to be vulnerable. At Beth Sholom, we strive to be that kind of community—a place where we care for one another, celebrate and grieve together, and lift each other up.

Zachor commands us to remember. We remember where we come from, the generations who have carried our tradition before us, and the stories that continue to shape us. We remember not only our history, but also our purpose now and into the future.

  • Guest Tickets & Childcare

Beth Sholom members are pre-registered for all High Holy Days services, and we invite community guests to join us by registering in advance. For security reasons, we are unable to accommodate walk-in guests.

Need childcare? Registration is included in the ticket purchase form below.

  • Erev Rosh Hashanah Dinner

Chef Marlene will be preparing a delicious meal for Beth Sholom members on Friday, September 11th at ~7:15 p.m. following services with Rabbi Russell, Rabbi Richman, and Jonathan Bayer. Let’s welcome the New Year together!

    Adult (18 and up): $60
    Youth (13-17): $25
Kids (12 and younger): free with registration

  • Interactive Family Services

Congregation Beth Sholom invites your whole mishpacha to join the Youth Education team on Saturday, September 12 and Monday, September 21 from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in Koret Hall! Embrace and be embraced. Remember and make memories. Shamor v'Zachor. Music, song and prayer with Adam Lowy and the High Holy Days Jazz Trio will be our guide. Spark your spirit, set your intention for 5787, get yourself sealed, and celebrate in community!

We ask that both members and community guests register in advance for these free family services.

  • Member Childcare

We will be offering free childcare to members during all services. Advance registration is required. If you require childcare at any time, please register so that we can ensure adequate staffing.

Community guests must register and pay for childcare separately during the ticket checkout process.

  • Member Cemetery Visit

    Tuesday, September 15th, 1:30 p.m.

With the heaviness of this year and in the middle of our holiest days, let’s pay our departed ones a visit. We visit the cemetery during this period of reflection to reconnect with the lives of those who have passed and carry their memory with us as we enter a new year. Join Rabbi Amanda Russell at Home of Peace Cemetery in Colma for a short memorial gathering. Afterwards, individuals will be given time to visit the graves of their loved ones with their own time and space.

  • Be a Greeter

Join us in welcoming fellow members and guests to High Holy Days services at Beth Sholom! If you are interested in becoming a greeter, please plan to attend our Zoom training around greeting and security at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3.
