The Beth Sholom Center for Lifelong Jewish Learning
For generations, Congregation Beth Sholom (CBS) has been the place where Bay Area families discover their unique Jewish path. Now, we're ready to take the next bold step.
Our education building is critical to our mission, but it has not been renovated since 1964 and is in need of significant repair. We have worked with Herman Coliver Locus Architecture (HCLA) to develop plans to re-invigorate the building. This transformation will unlock our full potential: expanding our celebrated preschool on the first floor, and creating beautiful, accessible spaces for youth and adult learners on the second floor.
This isn't just renovation—it's investment in sustainable growth. We are currently bursting at the seams and at full capacity! The expanded facilities will generate meaningful tuition revenue while providing the modern, functional environment our award-winning programming deserves. You can read more about the project here and here is a construction FAQ.
