THE TORAH TROUPE
Upon reaching their B’nai Mitzvah, every CBS student will be invited to join the Torah Troupe. The Torah Troupe is a group of students who want to strengthen their Torah reading skills and read Torah consistently throughout the year at Beth Sholom.
This opportunity fosters learning and leadership, as well as builds community and confidence for every reader!

What is the goal and how do I complete it?
Each student will complete 18 aliyot between the time that they become a B’nai Mitzvah until they graduate high school.
We suggest the following annual goals:
8th grade — 2 aliyot
9th grade — 4 aliyot
10th grade — 6 aliyot
11th–12th grade — 6 aliyot -
Can someone help me learn?
Each student can receive 5 hours of tutoring and support per year. Please let us know if you would like to be connected to a tutor.

What happens at the end of the program?
Participants in this program will be compensated upon completion of their annual Torah reading goals.
