Adam Lowy is the Lifelong Learning Moreh Derech at Congregation Beth Sholom. He brings playful and embodied questioning, reflection, and identity building to all generations of the Jewish community.

He brings over 30 years of experience as a Jewish Educator beginning at Habonim Dror, where he first connected with the power of informal education and youth leadership. Adam spent 18 years in the classroom at the Congregation Emanu-El Preschool, mastering the art of Jewish multisensory teaching, before becoming the Assistant Director of Jewish Studies at the Oshman Family JCC Preschool in Palo Alto.

Prior to arriving at Beth Sholom, Adam led the Jewish Resource Specialist (JRS) program of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund of San Francisco and the Bay Area on the Early Childhood and Family Engagement Initiative team. In this role, Adam mentored Jewish early childhood education leaders at preschools throughout the Bay Area, including working closely with the CBS Preschool.

Adam lives in San Francisco with his wife, Shira, his children Irit and Micah and his cat, Safam. Adam is passionate about basketball, golf, music, and nature – on an ideal day, combining them all. Adam is excited to guide all ages of the CBS learning community – building relationships, collaborating, and growing as we strive to make greater meaning of and connection to our Jewish lives and identities.

  • Ben Lieberman

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF YOUTH EDUCATION
    blieberman@bethsholomsf.org

My name is Ben Lieberman, I just graduated from SF State with a degree in Jewish Studies and Youth Recreation. My whole life has taken place in Jewish spaces and now I am excited to help develop and support the programming at Beth Sholom.

For the past 5 years, I have worked at Habonim Dror Camp Gilboa, a progressive Jewish summer camp in southern California. I have also worked at Brandeis San Francisco for the past 4 years. Last year, I had the pleasure of working as an educator in the Shabbat School.

I look forward to joining the team at Beth Sholom in a bigger role and helping to bring the ruach (spirit) and kessem (magic) to the community.
