Meet Our August Family of the Month: The Drummond-Dulbergs

Meet Sharon (60), Ilana (64), Micha (20), Ella (17), along with their beloved pets - dogs Hailey (6) and Cassie (4), and cats Leo and Teddy (8)

The family first discovered Beth Sholom when Micha and Ella were students at Brandeis School of San Francisco. They began attending High Holiday services, celebrated many friends' b'nei mitzvah, and enjoyed community events along the way. After Ella became interested in joining Jews for Hot Cocoa, they decided it was time to become members.

After exploring several synagogues throughout San Francisco over the years, they found that Beth Sholom felt like home. “CBS was the most welcoming,” they shared.

When asked what they love most about Beth Sholom, their answer is simple: the community — and, of course, Jews for Hot Cocoa, which has become a special part of their family’s experience.

Their favorite Jewish holiday is Pesach, made even more memorable by Sharon’s legendary matzah ball soup.

Outside of synagogue life, Sharon is an avid marathon runner, Ella plays lacrosse, and the whole family enjoys spending time together in Tahoe and Yosemite. They also love trying new things and exploring new experiences together.

As members of Beth Sholom, they hope to continue deepening their connections within the community while enriching their Jewish learning for years to come.
