Noa Koné-Miller’s B’nai Mitzvah
Hello!! My name is Noa Koné-Miller, I am a Senior at Gateway High School, and I have been coming to Beth Sholom for longer than I can remember. I eventually made my way to Shabbat school on Saturdays, always snacking on whatever treat I could get my hands on. For me, my Jewish identity is about love, community, music, stories, and dedication to bettering the world. Some outside-Shul activities I enjoy are making jewelry (and a multitude of other art forms), hanging out with my friends, going out places, or simply being cozy at home.
My Torah Portion is Beshalach, which is about how the Israelites escaped slavery in Egypt and walked across the bottom of the Ocean, continuing their travels for an extended period of time to reach the promised land, where apparently grapes were as big as footballs (a truly exciting prospect). I am looking forward to joining my community next week and formally making my transition into a Jewish adult.
