Mica Carls’ Bat Mitzvah

Mica Carls will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on the morning of Saturday, May 30, 2026. Mica is the daughter of Stacy Trager-Carls and Jason Carls, and the granddaughter of Lea Trager, Dr. Allen and Tina Trager, Jane and Rubin Sacknowitz, and Martin Carls. 

Mica is in the seventh grade at Rooftop K-8. This year, she participated in the coed flag football and volleyball teams. Mica also loves to swim, play tennis, and ski, especially on moguls. During the summer, she loves to travel, hang with friends, and attend Camp Gilboa Jewish sleep-away camp. She has enjoyed her Jewish education here at Beth Sholom and the Chabad of Noe Valley, where she had attended since preschool.

Mica’s Bat Mitzvah Project has involved supporting adults with Developmental Disabilities. She has volunteered with The Arc of San Francisco through the Friends Like Me Program, and she has also helped at events with the Access (Transition) Program of the San Francisco Unified School District.
