Designing the Sacred Talk @ JCC

AmyReichert_Susie-Coliver_1of1_WEB_klCBS congregant and architect Susie Coliver will present the Annual Charles Michael Lecture at the San Francisco Jewish Community Center on Wednesday evening, April 13, at 7 p.m.

From the JCC press release: "Architectural designers Susie Coliver and Amy Reichert discuss their approaches to creating sacred spaces. Coliver’s practice alludes to the ephemeral in the design of space to enhance Jewish spirituality, while Reichert creates ritual objects that play with Jewish forms and practices. Their conversation will explore material and craft, light and shadow, and reinterpreting ancient ideas for a modern world. (Presented in partnership with the Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University.)"

Susie and her partner, Robert Herman, founded and run Herman Coliver Locus Architecture, a firm that has been nationally recognized for its work on affordable housing, schools, and sacred spaces for non-profits as well as homes for private clients.

Advance reservation for the Charles Michael Lecture is required. Please email the JCC or call 415.292.1233.
