PJ Shabbat and pj havdallah

Our wonderful PJ Shabbat and PJ Havdallah programs invite families with young children to join our vibrant Shabbat and Havdallah services. Families participate in singing, music, dancing, and blessings with Rabbi Hyman and Rabbi Philmus. The interactive services allow even our youngest participants to experience the joy of Shabbat in a warm, welcoming setting. Families will take with them some of the basic rituals they can use to enhance their own Shabbat, Havdallah, and holiday observances at home. All services are followed by a vegetarian potluck-style community dinner. No experience is required.

Ages newborn through six years old, with older siblings welcome.

Our evening begins with arts and crafts for the children, continues with a musical Havdallah service, and ends with a vegetarian potluck dinner.

Everyone is asked to please bring a main course and a beverage. To ensure we have enough food for our children to enjoy, try to bring a kid-friendly dish. Certified kosher items are always appreciated. We provide dessert.

Contact pjshabbat@gmail.com with questions. We hope to see you there!

Also, families are welcome to join us for special Saturday morning Shabbat programs on February 4, and March 31, 2012 for music and storytelling sponsored by The PJ Library
