Help Change the World and Earn Community Service Hours

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Madrikhim - Congregation Beth Sholom's Religious School, the religious school of Congregations Beth Sholom is looking for madrikhim (in Hebrew "leaders") to work as teaching assistants and Hebrew tutors during the current school year. For more information, contact Debra Surkin Perloff.
  • Annual Blood Drive - Assist with annual Beth Sholom Blood Drive. There is an ongoing for volunteers to help with this biannual event. This is a one day commitment of approximately 6 hours that takes place in the fall and spring. The next Blood Drive will be on Sunday, April 19. For more information, contact Marsha Glantz.
  • Rhoda Goldman Plaza Community Service Internship - Help Beth Sholom members run a monthly Kabbalah Shabbat service for seniors at Rhoda Goldman Plaza. Time commitment is approximately 3 hours one Friday afternoon a month. For more information, contact Katherine Hollander.
  • Chicken Soupers - Help prepare and deliver meals to people living with AIDS. Time commitment is 2 to 3 hours one Sunday morning a month. For more information, contact Debra Surkin Perloff.
  • Design Your Own Community Service Project - What issues are you passionate about? Interested in connecting with others who want to work on the same issues? Design your own community service project. For more information, contact info@bethsholomsf.org.
